NORD’s Rare Disease Education course offers students the opportunity to learn from top health care professionals and researchers across the NORD Rare Disease Centers of Excellence.

This 20-hour course includes 20 lectures covering topics like an introduction to rare diseases, real-world examples, social and ethical issues, and careers in rare disease. Upon completion, students will earn a Certificate of Completion from NORD.

With over 10,000 rare diseases affecting 30 million Americans, the need for better awareness and education is critical. This course helps bridge that gap by equipping students with the knowledge to become advocates for rare disease patients, ensuring they receive quicker diagnoses and better care.
